2008 St. Nicholas Graduation Party

I don't know where has the time gone but 3 years have gone by like a blink of an eye. Elliott graduated from St. Nicholas' English Kindergarten on June 30, 2008. They had a graduation party on June 22, 2008. The kids performed a few shows during the party from dancing to Mandarin drama to singing. It was great fun. We could still remember these kids 3 years ago when they were carrying their baby images. Now they have grown tall and mature and ready for their next venture. We surely miss this kindergarten stage more than the kids since it signalize an end of a carefree stage.

Under the rubbles

Today we pray for those under the rubbles, may the Lord's amazing hands rescue them and give them life. We pray for the departed souls and may they rest in peace in God's warm embrace. And their loved ones on earth, Lord, comfort them and overflow them with Your loving kindness.

We know life is with You Lord. Lift us up so that we see Your glorious plan. And when the day comes there is no fear, no tears but only love.

Here we go

Marie's new haircut

Marie's knots had been out of control since last winter so we decided to give her a hair cut. We thought of taking her to the groomer but she had one bad experience before. She had a bath only and the groomer broke her nails.

A friend recommended another groomer but it's a hassle to transport Marie. Here in HK, animals are not allowed in public transport except for cab. It will be very costly to use a cab anyway so we tried the home grooming service.

The groomers put a mask on Marie's muzzle so she can't see and she won't bite too.

In 2 hours time they shaved off her hair, bathed her and trimmed her nails. It cost us U$75. And now she looks like this..........
